Buttweld Tee fittings are available in Equal, Unequal (Reducing), Lateral, and Barred Tee types. Equal Tees resemble the shape of the letter “T,” connecting two horizontal pipes with a vertical branch. Reducing Tees allow a change in pipe size, while Lateral Tees and Barred Tees are used for specialized flow requirements in piping systems.
The main function of these tees is to allow fluid flow at 90 degrees from the main run. In an Equal Tee, all branches have the same diameter, while in an Unequal Tee, the branch size differs from the main run. This design ensures smooth directional flow, pressure balance, and efficient pipeline distribution.
